Since the beginning of the operation on February 5, some 3,295 suspects have been arrested and 2,797 firearms, 448,341 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 13,772 magazines, 31,781.67 kg of drugs, including 177.77 kg of fentanyl, 2,583 vehicles, and 424 properties have been seized, acoording to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict compliance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Playas de Rosarito, an arrest warrant was served on a suspect for the crime of aggravated rape.
Two suspects were arrested and a rifle, a handgun, a replica of a firearm, five magazines, 55 rounds of ammunition, 363 doses of marijuana, 29 doses of methamphetamine, and 55 doses of heroin were seized.
– Nuevo Leon
Three suspects were arrested and 30 doses of methamphetamine, 81 doses of marijuana, 14 doses of cocaine, a firearm, a magazine, a cartridge, cash, nine cell phones, a gram scale, a ballistic vest, a property, and two vehicles were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, two storage facilities for methamphetamine inputs were located and dismantled. During the operations 2,460 liters of chemical substances were seized. The economic impact on the criminal organizations is 52 million pesos (US$2.65 million)
In Choix, three rifles, a machine gun, a grenade launcher, 17 magazines, 483 rounds of ammunition, 10 improvised explosive devices, a tactical vest, and a vehicle were seized.
– Sonora
In Cajeme, a suspect was arrested and seven rifles, a carbine, a rifle, a submachine gun, a revolver, five pistols, 71 magazines, 3,026 rounds of ammunition, four silencers, 7.71 kilos of methamphetamine, 23 kilos of marijuana, four ballistic vests, a telescopic sight, tactical uniforms, eight video cameras. and two vehicles were seized.
Four suspects were arrested and seven magazines, a pistol, 128 rounds of ammunition, 40 doses of methamphetamine, 30 doses of marijuana, a vehicle, and two properties were seized.
