Since the operation began on February 5, some 4,704 suspects have been arrested and 3,889 firearms, 608,827 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 18,298 magazines, 41,134 6 kg of drugs, including 256.89 kg of fentanyl, 3,492 vehicles, and 588 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
The actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Tecate, two rifles, 15 magazines, 158 rounds of ammunition, three tactical vests, and two ballistic plates were seized.
In Ensenada, nine video surveillance cameras installed illegally in public spaces were located and removed.
– Sinaloa
In Concordia, a minor was arrested and a machine gun, a Barrett rifle, a rifle, two magazines, 22 rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle with homemade armor were seized.
In Culiacán, a storage facility for methamphetamine inputs was located and dismantled. During the operation, 1,050 liters of substances for the production of the drug were seized. The economic impact on criminal organizations is 22 million pesos (US$1.16 million).
– Sonora
In Cajeme, a suspect was arrested and three weapons, four magazines, a scale, a package of marijuana, 46 rounds of ammunition, two cell phones, a motorcycle, and a vehicle were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Reynosa, three kilograms of marijuana were seized at a parcel delivery company.
