Since the operation began on February 5, some 5,280 suspects have been arrested and 4,324 firearms, 697,747 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 20,546 magazines, 44,997.14 kg of drugs, including 310.8 kg of fentanyl, 3,867 vehicles, and 675 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
Sixty-three doses of methamphetamine, two 25-kg sacks of caustic soda, 450 liters of sodium hydroxide in 10 drums, five vehicles, and a property were seized.
In Mexicali, three handguns, two magazines, and 16 rounds of ammunition were seized.
– Nuevo León
In Apodaca, two rifles, two magazines, 36 rounds of ammunition, 10 kilos of methamphetamine, three kilos of marijuana, four gram scales, and a bill counter were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Concordia, 37 magazines, 3,520 rounds of ammunition, and five ballistic plates were seized.
In Cosalá, seven storage facilities for methamphetamine inputs were located and dismantled, and 3,400 liters and 400 kilos of chemicals used to make drugs, four organic synthesis reactors, four lab condensers, three mixers, and 10 LP gas tanks were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at 78 million pesos (US$4.16 million).
– Sonora
In Yavaros, two suspects were arrested and 29 doses of marijuana and doses of crystal meth were seized.
In Hermosillo, 280 doses of marijuana, 797 packets of crystal meth, and 69 crystal meth pipes were seized.
