In an effort to strengthen ties between Mexico and the United States, a new binational organization has emerged: ALMA — the Alliance of Mexicans and Americans. Rooted in the principles of collaboration, equity, and pride, ALMA is dedicated to building a shared future between both nations through cultural connection and mutual respect.

ALMA positions itself as a dynamic platform for cultural, social, and political exchange, fostering bridges of understanding and solidarity between Mexican and American communities. From its inception, the organization has embraced a clear mission: “Connecting Cultures, Building a Shared Future for Mexico and the United States.”

“We believe in the power that arises when two nations unite for a common goal,” states the organization. In the face of geopolitical and social challenges, ALMA aims to be a model of cross-border cooperation by highlighting the contributions of the Mexican community in the United States and promoting a dignified, positive image of Mexico abroad.

At the core of ALMA’s vision are three guiding values: collaboration — the foundation for open and continuous dialogue; equity — promoting inclusion in public policies and narratives; and pride — recognizing the cultural and social value that Mexican heritage contributes to the multicultural fabric of the United States.

Beyond advocacy and awareness, ALMA elevates stories of success, promotes joint initiatives, and invites collective action. Its digital platform serves as a space for inspiration, encouraging individuals from both countries to get involved, share experiences, and actively participate in building a more resilient, binational community.

As the organization’s founders emphasize, “ALMA is not just a project — it is a call to action.” With this spirit, the Alliance aspires to become a leading voice for regional integration and cooperation in North America.

At a time when political polarization continues to rise, initiatives like ALMA offer a hopeful vision: that two deeply interconnected nations can move forward together toward a more just, inclusive, and united future.
