Since the operation began on February 5, some 5,524 suspects have been arrested and 4,472 firearms, 723,639 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 21,123 magazines, 47,204.9 kg of drugs, including 310.89 kg of fentanyl, 4,024 vehicles, and 701 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Nuevo León
In Monterrey, a suspect was arrested and a rifle, a magazine, 15 rounds of ammunition, 53 doses of methamphetamine, 47 doses of marijuana, cash, a tactical vest, a gram scale, and a vehicle were seized.
In other operations, two suspects were arrested, and a Barrett rifle, a machine gun, 14 rifles, a rocket launcher, 55 magazines, 477 rounds of ammunition, 135 doses of methamphetamine, 140 doses of marijuana, two tactical vests, a gram scale, cash, a motorcycle, and a vehicle reported stolen were seized.
– Sinaloa
In El Dorado, three rifles, nine magazines, 293 rounds of ammunition, tactical gear, 181 tire spikes, and a vehicle were seized.
In Culiacán, six storage facilities containing various inputs for the production of methamphetamine were located and dismantled. During the operations, 2,150 liters and 325 kilos of substances used in the production of drugs, four organic synthesis reactors, a lab condenser, and an LP gas tank were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 49 million pesos (US$2.63 million).
– Sonora
Two suspects were arrested and 61 doses of methamphetamine and 94 doses of marijuana were seized.
In Santa Ana, a suspect was arrested and three weapons, 11 magazines, 279 rounds of ammunition, 549 doses of methamphetamine, 1,000 doses of marijuana, and a vehicle reported stolen were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Matamoros, 22 kilograms of marijuana and a vehicle were seized.
