The Mexican Government's Security Cabinet reports on the results of 'Operation Northern Border'carried out on August 8, 9, and 10, 2025.

Since the operation began on February 5, some 6,192 suspects have been arrested and 4,907 firearms, 828,010 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 22,991 magazines, 57,161.98 kg of drugs, including 311.89 kg of fentanyl, 4,344 vehicles, and 774 properties, have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.

These actions are carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:

– Baja California

In Ensenada, Tijuana, and Mexicali, seven suspects were arrested and two weapons, a magazine, five rounds of ammunition, 143 doses of methamphetamine, and 44 doses of heroin were seized.

In Tijuana, a suspect was arrested and 122 packages containing 1,174 kilograms of methamphetamine and 115 packages containing 724 kilograms of cocaine were seized.

– Chihuahua

In Madera, two suspects were arrested and three rifles, 22 magazines, 273 rounds of ammunition, and two tactical vests were seized.

– Nuevo León

In Gral. Escobedo, Apodaca, and Monterrey, eight suspects were arrested and four weapons, five magazines, 71 rounds of ammunition, 169 doses of methamphetamine, 148 doses of marijuana, eight doses of cocaine, two vehicles (one reported stolen), eight cell phones, five gram scales, and cash were seized.

In Gral. Escobedo, three suspects were arrested and a rifle, two magazines, 26 rounds of ammunition, 88 doses of marijuana, 69 doses of methamphetamine, four cell phones, three gram scales, a tactical backpack, a vehicle, and cash were seized.

– Sinaloa

In Cruz de Elota, four rifles, 2,203 live rounds of ammunition, 38 magazines, seven tactical vests, two ballistic panels, and nine ballistic plates were seized.

In Culiacán, five storage areas concentrating various inputs for drug production were located and dismantled. During these operations, 6,625 liters and 135 kilos of substances for methamphetamine production, an organic synthesis reactor, and a lab condenser were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 139 million pesos (US$7.45 million).

– Sonora

In various municipalities, eight suspects were arrested and 211 doses of marijuana, 283 doses of methamphetamine, two vehicles, two motorcycles, a weapon, 21 magazines, 126 rounds of ammunition, and tactical gear were seized.

– Tamaulipas

In Reynosa, a suspect was arrested and two handguns, two magazines, 58 rounds of ammunition, and doses of cocaine and marijuana were seized.
