Since the operation began on February 5, some 6,539 suspects have been arrested and 5,087 firearms, 873,920 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 24,141 magazines, 59,967.3 kg of drugs, including 311.89 kg of fentanyl, 4,498 vehicles, and 804 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Tijuana, two rifles, a magazine, 15 rounds of ammunition, and a property were seized.
– Chihuahua
In Cuauhtémoc, a rifle, three magazines, 36 rounds of ammunition, 275 kilograms of marijuana, and a vehicle were seized.
In Ojinaga, four suspects were arrested and three firearms, 21 magazines, and 395 rounds of ammunition were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Elota, a Barrett rifle, five other rifles, 48 magazines, 1,753 rounds of ammunition, a fragmentation grenade, a cartridge case, four tactical vests, six ballistic plates, and a magazine carrier were seized.
In Culiacán and Cosalá, six storage facilities containing various inputs for the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 2,340 liters and 50 kilos of substances for the production of methamphetamine were seized, as well as three organic synthesis reactors. The economic impact on organized crime is 49 million pesos (US$2.62 million).
– Sonora
In Opodepe, a suspect was arrested and US$41,000 along with 15,050 pesos, plus a vehicle were seized.
