Since the operation began on February 5, some 6,680 suspects have been arrested and 5,189 firearms, 900,682 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 24,714 magazines, and 62,616.97 kg of drugs have been seized, including 341.89 kg of fentanyl, 4,552 vehicles, and 815 properties, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
The actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Tijuana, two suspects were arrested and two firearms and three rounds of ammunition were seized.
– Chihuahua
In Aldama, three rifles, four magazines, 657 rounds of ammunition, a tactical vest, and a vehicle were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Concordia, an encampment was located and dismantled and a rifle, a grenade launcher attachment, 49 magazines, and 2,100 rounds of ammunition were seized.
In Culiacán and Cosalá, six storage facilities containing various materials for the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 1,520 liters of substances for the production of methamphetamine, an organic synthesis reactor, and a lab condenser were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 31 million pesos (US$1.66 million).
– Sonora
In Agua Prieta, two suspects were arrested and four rifles, 20 magazines, 459 rounds of ammunition, four tactical vests, two helmets, and a vehicle reported stolen were seized.
In Cajeme, Hermosillo, and Caborca, six suspects were arrested and 188 doses of marijuana, methamphetamine, and cocaine, a vehicle, two motorcycles, and cash were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In San Fernando, three rifles, 87 magazines, 1,690 rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle were seized.
