Mexico’s Minister of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, participated in the inauguration of Odisea México, an innovative cultural and tourism project that fuses national identity with the power of innovation.

“No important date ever fails to arrive. I first heard about this project months ago along with all the work that went into making today possible. I am very proud to be here. These are the kinds of events we applaud, appreciate, and, above all, will promote—that is what is most important,” said Rodríguez Zamora.

The Minister of Tourism recognized the efforts of everyone who made this project possible and offered a special message to the artisans of Oaxaca, “the crucible of culture and the heart of Mexico,” who were chosen to inaugurate the space.

An Immersive Journey Through Mexico

Odisea México will allow both national and international visitors to virtually explore the cultural and natural wealth of all 32 Mexican states, through colors, traditions, customs, and landscapes that foster pride and identity.

“This is not just an experience where you come and immerse yourself; it is also a window into Mexico, a showcase for our master artisans and craftspeople,” Rodríguez Zamora emphasized.

The experience highlights the breadth of Mexico’s tourist attractions: beaches, archaeological sites, Pueblos Mágicos colonial towns, cuisine, festivals, and living traditions.

Rodríguez Zamora emphasized that the project is a reflection of national pride and the government’s commitment to making tourism a driver of Shared Prosperity. She described it as a unique opportunity to bring Mexico closer to the world through creativity and innovation.

The inauguration was also attended by Mexico City’s Secretary of Culture Alejandra Frausto Guerrero; the Mayor of the Miguel Hidalgo municipality, Mauricio Tabe Echartea; and Alejandro Nasta Icaza, CEO of Odisea México and host of the event, along with authorities, media representatives, content creators, and special guests.
