Since the operation began on February 5, some 7,587 suspects have been arrested and 5,845 firearms, 1,024,901 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 27,795 magazines, 99,484.2 kg of drugs, including 467.3 kg of fentanyl, 5,011 vehicles, and 922 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. The following seizures and arrests were the most significant:
– Nuevo León
In Monterrey, four suspects were arrested and four handguns, three magazines, 48 rounds of ammunition, 260 doses of cocaine, 73 doses of methamphetamine, 105 doses of marijuana, cash, and four gram scales were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, five handguns, 76 magazines, 569 rounds of ammunition, 710 kilos of a granular substance, 616 kilos of a semi-granular substance, 20 liters of brown colored substance, a kilo of cocaine, and a vehicle were seized.
In Culiacán and Cosalá, nine storage facilities containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 6,990 liters of chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 142 million pesos (US$7.73 million).
– Sonora
In Hermosillo, 1,400 doses of methamphetamine were seized.
In Nogales, a suitcase containing two magazines for a rifle and 43 rounds of ammunition were seized.
