Since the operation began on February 5, some 8,480 suspects have been arrested and 6,561 firearms, 1,134,565 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 30,179 magazines, 106,930.9 kg of drugs, including 493.92 kg of fentanyl, 5,359 vehicles, and 1,028 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Tecate, two handguns, 10 magazines, 3,358 rounds of ammunition, a prop hand grenade, 100 sacks of chemical precursors used in the production of methamphetamine, a vehicle reported stolen, and a property were seized.
In another operation in the same municipality, three suspects were arrested, and 40 kilos of marijuana and two vehicles were seized.
– Chihuahua
In Guachochi, a suspect was arrested, and two rifles, 40 doses of cocaine, and five vehicles were seized, two of which had been reported stolen and one of which was factory-armored.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, 13 rifles, 21 magazines, 790 rounds of ammunition, two magazine carriers, and five pieces of tactical clothing were seized.
In Elota, explosive material, 69 empty metal cylinders for improvised explosive devices, and 900 rounds of ammunition were seized.
– Sonora
In Cajeme, 10 rifles, nine magazines, 1,490 rounds of ammunition, tactical gear, and a property were seized.
