Since the operation began on February 5, some 8,874 suspects have been arrested and 6,794 firearms, 1,169,382 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 31,207 magazines, 109,052.9 kg of drugs, including 493.92 kg of fentanyl, 5,503 vehicles, and 1,066 properties have been sized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Coahuila
In Ramos Arizpe, two suspects were arrested, and five handguns, 14 magazines, 910 rounds of ammunition, a vehicle, and a property were seized.
– Nuevo León
In Higueras and Cerralvo, 24 magazines, 130 rounds of ammunition, and four vehicles with homemade armor were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Badiraguato, 700 kilograms of marijuana were seized.
In Culiacán, two storage facilities containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 2,250 liters of substances used in the production of methamphetamine and a lab condenser were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at 45 million pesos (US$2.45 million).
– Sonora
In San Luis Río Colorado, two suspects were arrested and 70 liters of a chemical precursor used to manufacture methamphetamine and a tractor-trailer were seized.
In another operation in the same municipality, 481 kilos of methamphetamine, a vehicle and a property were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Miguel Alemán, four rifles were seized.
