Since the operation began on February 5, some 9,128 suspects have been arrested and 6,921 firearms, 1,192,948 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 31,808 magazines, and 109,776.9 kg of drugs, including 494 kg of fentanyl, 5,622 vehicles, and 1,096 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
The actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Playas de Rosarito, a kilo of heroin and a vehicle were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán and Cosalá, 13 storage facilities containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 16,665 liters of substances used in the production of methamphetamine and an organic synthesis reactor were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 337 million pesos (US$18.40 million).
In Badiraguato, a rifle, five magazines, 1,142 rounds of ammunition, and four improvised explosive devices were seized.
– Sonora
In Cajeme, three suspects were arrested, and 102 doses of methamphetamine and three doses of marijuana were seized.
In Hermosillo, a suspect was arrested and a bag of methamphetamine was seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Abasolo, four suspects were arrested, and four firearms, 17 magazines, 75 rounds of ammunition, a monitoring center, a motorcycle, and two vehicles were seized.
