Since the operation began on February 5, some 9,187 suspects have been arrested and 6,952 firearms, 1,198,204 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 31,895 magazines, 109,867 1 kg of drugs, including 494 kg of fentanyl, 5,637 vehicles, and 1,099 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
The actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Sinaloa
In Badiraguato and Culiacán, a clandestine laboratory and eight storage facilities containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 8,147 liters and 1,065 kilograms of chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine, 19 organic synthesis reactors, 24 distillers, and two centrifuges were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at almost 7.47 billion pesos (US$407.7 million).
In Badiraguato, 1,176 rounds of ammunition, 90 kilograms of marijuana, and 10 improvised explosive devices were seized.
– Sonora
In Hermosillo, a firearm, 20 rounds of ammunition, doses of methamphetamine, and a vehicle were seized.
In another operation in the same municipality, five suspects were arrested, and 13 doses of methamphetamine and two motorcycles were seized.
