Since the operation began on February 5, some 9,228 suspects have been arrested and 6,963 firearms, 1,198,503 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 31,911 magazines, 110,222.7 kg of drugs, including 494 kg of fentanyl, 5,647 vehicles, and 1,100 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. The following seizures and arrests were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Tijuana, 14 kilograms of methamphetamine, four rifles, four magazines, 80 rounds of ammunition, and three tactical vests were seized.
– Chihuahua
In Ciudad Juárez, two suspects were arrested, and four firearms, four magazines, and 33 rounds of ammunition were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán and Cosalá, a clandestine laboratory and nine storage facilities containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 7,088 liters and 1,235 kilos of substances used in the production of methamphetamine, two organic synthesis reactors, and a condenser were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at 935 million pesos (US$50.52 million).
– Sonora
In Empalme, 71 doses of marijuana, 99 doses of cocaine, and 29 marijuana cigarettes were seized.
In San Luis Río Colorado, two suspects were arrested, and 340 kilos of methamphetamine and a semi-truck with dry van were seized.
