The Mexican Government’s Security Cabinet reports on the results of “Operation Northern Border” for November 21, 22, and 23, 2025, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
Since the operation began on February 5, some 9,323 suspects have been arrested and 7,024 firearms, 1,213,693 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 32,349 magazines, 110,483 kg of drugs, including 535.04 kg of fentanyl, 5,683 vehicles, and 1,111 properties have been confiscated.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Tijuana, four suspects were arrested, and three firearms, two magazines, 196 rounds of ammunition, and a property were seized.
– Chihuahua
In Ciudad Juárez, a suspect was arrested, and a rocket launcher, two handguns, a magazine, 2,375 rounds of ammunition, 6,200 fentanyl pills, 2.3 kilograms of methamphetamine, a tactical vest, a ballistic plate, a vehicle, and a property were seized.
In Guachochi, a suspect was arrested, and eight rifles, 142 magazines, 2,300 rounds of ammunition, 16 tactical vests, and two vehicles were seized.
– Nuevo León
In El Carmen, 395,200 liters of fuels, eight storage tanks, two digital video recorders, a laptop, four USB storage devices, a cell phone, a vehicle reported stolen, and a property were seized.
In Salinas Victoria, 17,000 liters of fuel and a property were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, a clandestine laboratory and two storage facilities containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 3,450 liters of chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine, an organic synthesis reactor, and five condensers were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 456 million pesos (US$24.68 million).
In another operation in the same municipality, four storage facilities containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operation, 6,050 liters of chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine, 12 organic synthesis reactors, and 12 condensers were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at 123 million pesos (US$6.66 million).
– Sonora
In Huatabampo, a suspect was arrested, and 26 kilos of fentanyl, 130 packages containing 15 kilos of fentanyl tablets, 101 kilos of methamphetamine, and a vehicle were seized.
In Trincheras, two rifles, 18 magazines, 1,310 rounds of ammunition, and two tactical vests were seized.
