SUMMARY
Onward to December 6th: A Celebration of the People and the 4T
President Claudia Sheinbaum said that the call for the December 6 rally is for all the people, and that the narrative of “anger” on social media contrasts with the joy for seven years of transformation.
Sheinbaum highlighted progress such as regularized Infonavit housing loans, 1.3 million new housing units projected, and 300,000 housing units for non-Infonavit affiliates, in addition to Well-Being programs, new high schools and universities, and transportation infrastructure projects. The idea behind the December 6 mobilization is to celebrate the collective achievements of the 4T.
Health Routes: Third Delivery
The consolidation of the new supply model is advancing with 8,342 healthcare centers, 646 hospitals and 32,224 medical kits, and over 70 million medications distributed. From November 24-28, the routes will depart to bring pharmaceutical supplies to the entire country, strengthening a national distribution system already in full operation.
Housing Progress: Brief Summary
By 2025, progress in fulfilling housing projections stands at 95%, with 345,817 housing units under construction. Between November and December, 5,061 units will be delivered, and the year will end with an additional 4,871 units, bringing the cumulative total to over 70,000. The goal in the current presidential administration is 1.6 million units, with over 300,000 this year and 600,000 projected for 2026. At Infonavit, 1,080 points are no longer required; it is enough to be a beneficiary of the government housing program, earn 1–3 times the minimum wage, and not own a home.
Interoceanic Train: Reopening and Historical Significance
At the inauguration of Interoceanic Train stations, the population welcomed the recovery of stations that had been abandoned. The Ixtepec–Tonalá section of the train line is already operational and connects with the Maya Train, while work on the line to Ciudad Hidalgo advances.
Sheinbaum recalled that Zedillo absurdly privatized the railways and that the rescue plan promoted by AMLO restores mobility, tourism, and development to southeast Mexico. The train lines sparked enthusiasm in the population.
Sheinbaum on Threats from Peru: Law is the Path
The President affirmed that any attempt on the part of Peruvian authorities to enter the Mexican Embassy in Peru “would violate all international laws.” She reiterated that the asylum granted to former Prime Minister Betssy Chávez is fully recognized by international law and that any differences must be resolved through legal channels. She recalled that it was Peru that broke off diplomatic relations and that intervening in the Mexican Embassy there would be a “very serious” violation of international law.
Meeting with Legislators from the People’s Majority
Sheinbaum Pardo expressed her appreciation for the unity of the Transformation Movement’s elected representatives, emphasizing that thanks to this joint work, many constitutional reforms have been approved. The President took advantage of the meeting to acknowledge their work and invite them to the December 6 rally.
