Since the operation began on February 5, some 9,999 suspects have been arrested and 7,417 firearms, 1,261,171 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 33,796 magazines, 115,323.1 kg of drugs, including 560 kg of fentanyl, 5,932 vehicles, and 1,180 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These operations were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. The following seizures and arrests were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Tijuana, two rifles, two magazines, and 55 rounds of ammunition were seized.
– Coahuila
In Acuña, two suspects were arrested, and 12.5 kg of methamphetamine, 15 kg of marijuana, a vehicle, and a property were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Cosalá, six storage facilities containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs located and dismantled. During the operations, 8,400 liters of substances used in the production of methamphetamine were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 166 million pesos (US$9.19 million).
– Sonora
In Altar, three suspects were arrested, and two firearms, nine magazines, 16 rounds of ammunition, and two vehicles, one of which had been reported stolen, were seized.
In Nogales, a suspect was arrested, and 96 doses of cocaine, 76 of methamphetamine, 47 of marijuana, and 13 marijuana cigarettes were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Nuevo Laredo, 1,725 doses of cocaine, 175 doses of methamphetamine, 75 doses of marijuana, nine rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle were seized.
