Since the beginning of the operation on February 5, some 1,560 suspects have been arrested and 1,456 firearms, 214,026 rounds of ammunition, 6,535 magazines, 22,753.32 kg of drugs, including 129.18 kg of fentanyl, 1,316 vehicles, and 173 properties have been seized, according to the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection (Secretaría de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana, SSPC).
These actions were carried out in strict compliance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following are the most significant:
– Baja California
Four suspects were arrested and 304 doses of methamphetamine, 84 doses of marijuana, 24 doses of heroin, and two vehicles were seized.
In Ensenada, three vehicles and a property were seized.
– Nuevo León
In Sabinas, Hidalgo, two rifles, 54 magazines, 1,250 rounds of ammunition, three tactical vests, a kevlar helmet, 25 tire spikes, and a vehicle were seized.
In Montemorelos, four suspects were arrested and four handguns, four magazines, 18 rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Mazatlán, three rifles, a grenade launcher attachment, 72 magazines, 1,752 rounds of ammunition, two mortar rounds, four grenades, 7,394 safety pins, two barrels with upper and lower receiver, 14 tactical vests and four ballistic plates were seized.
Eleven methamphetamine production areas were located and dismantled, as a result of which 10,300 liters of substances for the production of methamphetamine, four organic synthesis reactors, eight lab condensers, and six flasks were seized. The economic impact on the criminal organizations was 226 million pesos (US$11.36 million).
– Sonora
In Magdalena de Kino, four rifles, a handgun, 37 magazines, 7,092 rounds of ammunition, a homemade flamethrower, 10 improvised explosive devices, 15 kilos of chemicals for the production of methamphetamine, a bill counter, five communication radios, three cell phones, two vehicles, five motorcycles, and a property were seized.
In another operation, seven magazines, 185 rounds of ammunition, 117 doses of methamphetamine, and 80 doses of marijuana were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Nuevo Laredo, three suspects were arrested, two handguns, three magazines, 45 rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle were seized
