The countdown to the 2026 FIFA World Cup has officially begun for fans around the globe. On September 10, the first phase of ticket sales will open, featuring an exclusive presale opportunity for Visa cardholders.

FIFA, in collaboration with Visa —the tournament’s official payment partner— announced that fans will need to create a FIFA ID at FIFA.com/tickets and register their interest to participate in a raffle granting access to purchase tickets during this early access stage.

According to the official schedule, registration for the random selection will be open from September 10 to 19. Selected participants will receive an assigned date and time to complete their ticket purchase, subject to availability.

As the exclusive payment method for this first phase, Visa will ensure its cardholders receive priority access to one of the world’s most highly anticipated sporting events.

“Excitement over the FIFA World Cup 2026 keeps growing, and September 10 will be a key date on every fan’s calendar,” said Romy Gai, FIFA’s Chief Business Officer.

A Visa representative also emphasized the importance of having an active Visa card to participate in the draw:

“We’re thrilled to partner once again with FIFA to give fans the chance to be part of this unique experience from the very start. Don’t miss out: if you have an active Visa card and a FIFA ID, you’re ready to register.”

Tickets will be released in multiple phases, and this marks the first opportunity to get closer to experiencing the tournament in person, which will be hosted across Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
