“It has a great history, excellent restaurants, and you can walk everywhere—or take a $4 taxi,” commented one reader. They also praised its downtown attractions, such as museums, botanical gardens, and boutiques, along with a calendar full of major cultural events such as the San Miguel Writers’ Conference and Literary Festival. The vibrant local art scene was also highlighted as one of its most impressive attributes. One reader even wrote, “I would love to move there.”
