The National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) and tech giant Nvidia have signed a collaboration agreement to provide students with training and certification in the use and application of artificial intelligence (AI), aiming to strengthen higher education, foster innovation, and promote technological entrepreneurship in Mexico.

The agreement was formalized during the seventh edition of “Creo MX 2025: Ring of Entrepreneurship”, an event that brings together thousands of young innovators from across the country.

IPN Director General Arturo Reyes Sandoval emphasized that partnerships like this are key to connecting public educational institutions with the tech industry and opening new pathways for national talent.

“We’re not only talking about the National Polytechnic Institute, but about the great talent that exists across all institutions of higher educations. As leaders, we must create these bridges and open highways to foster collaboration”, Reyes Sandoval said.

The collaboration with Nvidia, one of the world’s leading companies in artificial intelligence and graphics processing, will enable IPN students to gain certified skills in emerging technologies, positioning Mexico as a country with competitive human capital in the field of AI.

Representing the company, Alejandro Jiménez, Enterprise Account Manager at Nvidia, highlighted that the goal of the partnership is to connect IPN with the global innovation ecosystem and support the development of new generations of entrepreneurs.

“Beyond the signing of this agreement, we want to be close to IPN to help develop the best startups and top talent in the country”, said Jiménez.

The agreement includes specialized training programs, international certifications, joint innovation projects, and opportunities for students to participate in tech challenges and entrepreneurship competitions supported by Nvidia.

The “Creo MX 2025” event gathered over 22,000 active entrepreneurs, focused on developing technological, sustainable, and social projects. Throughout the event, participants showcased initiatives in fields such as robotics, clean energy, biotechnology, and applied artificial intelligence.

Reyes Sandoval reaffirmed that IPN will continue to promote partnerships with leading companies to strengthen students’ technological education and position the institution as a regional hub for innovation.

“Artificial intelligence is already transforming the world, and we must ensure that our young people are prepared to harness its potential for the benefit of the country”, he concluded.
