The Mexican Government, through the Ministry of Tourism, reported that from January to July 2025, the country received 47.4 million international visitors, 13.8% more than in the same period in 2024. In addition, 23.4 million tourists arrived, a 7.3% increase. Visitor spending totaled over US$18.68 billion, 6.3% more than last year.

President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo noted that the tourism indicators show that Mexico is in vogue. She highlighted the variety of experiences available in the country, such as community tourism, ecotourism, and rural tourism, whose revenues remain within the local communities.

“From January to July 2024, there were 41.7 million visitors, and from January to July 2025, about 47.4 million visitors, with tourists now staying longer in Mexico. That’s the difference—from 21.8 to 23.4 million—and visitor spending has gone up. As Josefina (Minister of Tourism) says, Mexico is in vogue,” the President emphasized.
