According to official information from the Mexican Presidency’s Security Cabinet, since the beginning of Operation Northern Border on February 5, some 1,357 suspects have been arrested, and 1,289 firearms, 164,384 cartridges of various calibers, 5,427 magazines, 22,293.39 kg of drugs, including 65.90 kg of fentanyl, 1,154 vehicles, and 152 properties have been seized.

The operations were carried out in strict compliance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following are the most significant:

  • Baja California
    In Mexicali, three suspects were arrested and three rifles, one handgun, 225 doses of cocaine, 14 doses of methamphetamines, and three vehicles were seized.

In San Quintín, three suspects were arrested and 47 cartridges, one magazine, five doses of marijuana, three doses of methamphetamine, two vehicles, one of which was armored, and a property were seized.

  • Chihuahua
    In Moris, 8,000 liters of chemical precursors and two vehicles reported stolen were seized.

In Ciudad Juarez, 5.17 kilos of cocaine and a property were seized.

  • Nuevo Leon
    In General Escobedo, four suspects were arrested and a rifle, a handgun, four magazines, 62 cartridges, 264 doses of methamphetamine, 179 doses of cocaine, 45 doses of marijuana, five cell phones, two gram scales, two vehicles, two motorcycles, and a property were seized.
  • Sinaloa
    In Culiacán, a suspect was arrested and four rifles, four magazines, 732 cartridges, and a vehicle were seized.
    Eight areas concentrating various materials for the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled, and 4,350 liters of substances for the production of methamphetamine, an organic synthesis reactor, and a lab condenser were seized. The economic impact on the criminal organizations was 96 million pesos (US$4.78 million).
  • Sonora
    In Caborca, three rifles, 20 magazines, 500 cartridges, 10 doses of methamphetamine, and 10 doses of marijuana were seized.

In Hermosillo, 792 marijuana plants and a greenhouse with an air conditioning system to control temperature, humidity, and air circulation were seized.

  • Tamaulipas
    In Rio Bravo, four rifles, 19 magazines, 460 cartridges, and a vehicle with homemade armor were seized.
