Since the beginning of the operation on February 5, some 2,440 suspects have been arrested and 2,140 firearms, 346,241 rounds of various types of ammunition, 10,865 magazines, 26,707.31 kg of drugs, including 163.35 kg of fentanyl, 1,962 vehicles, and 307 properties have been seized, acoording to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict compliance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following are the most significant:
– Baja California
In Tecate, at the “Lázaro Cárdenas” border bridge, a suspect was arrested and nine kilos of cocaine and a pickup truck were seized.
– Chihuahua
In Casas Grandes, a suspect was arrested and four firearms, magazines, rounds of ammunition, 10 kilos of cocaine, 12 kilos of marijuana, six tactical vests, and three vehicles were seized.
– Nuevo Leon
In Los Herrera, two vehicles with homemade armor were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, four firearms, a grenade launcher attachment, 11 magazines, 1,505 rounds of ammunition, four tactical vests, two ballistic plates, improvised explosive devices, tire spikes, and three vehicles were seized.
Five storage facilities for methamphetamine inputs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 5,190 liters and 650 kg of substances for drug production were seized. The economic impact on the criminal organizations is 129 million pesos (US$6.45 million)
– Sonora
In San Luis Río Colorado, three rifles, 11 magazines, 298 rounds of ammunition, three ballistic vests, six ballistic plates, and a vehicle were seized.
In Hermosillo, two suspects were arrested and two weapons, a magazine, doses of marijuana and methamphetamine, as well as a property, were seized.
