Since the beginning of the operation on February 5, some 2,707 suspects have been arrested and 2,340 firearms, 376,169 rounds of various types of ammunition, 11,602 magazines, 29,737.17 kg of drugs, including 163.35 kg of fentanyl, 2,167 vehicles, and 333 properties have been seized, acoording to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict compliance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
12 suspects were arrested and 594 doses of methamphetamine, two kilos of marijuana, five rounds of ammunition, a handgun, a magazine, four vehicles, and two properties were seized.
In Ensenada, two suspects were arrested and two firearms and a four-wheeler were seized.
– Nuevo León
Three suspects were arrested and 33 migrants of different nationalities were rescued. In addition, three properties were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, two suspects were arrested, one of them a minor and five firearms, 18 magazines, 398 rounds of ammunition, two ballistic vests, four ballistic plates, and a vehicle were seized.
A storage facility for methamphetamine inputs was located and dismantled, and 1,070 liters of chemical substances for the production of methamphetamine were seized. The economic impact on the criminal organizations was 23 million pesos (US$1.17 million).
– Sonora
In Ciudad Obregón, an irregularly installed camera was located and disabled and 20 doses of crystal meth were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Río Bravo, two weapons, 10 magazines, 116 rounds of ammunition, three tactical vests, six ballistic plates, and a vehicle were seized.
