The Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico reports on the results obtained from 'Operation Northern Border' on April 25, 26 and 27, 2025.

Since the beginning of the operation on February 5, some 2,793 suspects have been arrested and 2,396 firearms, 387,721 rounds of various types of ammunition, 11,933 magazines, 29,957.56 kg of drugs, including 163.35 kg of fentanyl, 2,238 vehicles, and 348 properties have been seized, acoording to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.

These actions were carried out in strict compliance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:

– Baja California

In Tijuana, a suspect was arrested and 466 rounds of ammunition, three firearms, two magazines, 20 exotic animals, and a property were seized.

In other operations, four suspects were arrested and two firearms, four magazines, 51 rounds of ammunition, 45 doses of methamphetamine, seven doses of marijuana, and two vehicles were seized.

– Nuevo Leon

In Santa Catarina, eight suspects were arrested and 91 doses of methamphetamine, 87 doses of cocaine, cash, a cell phone, and six scales were seized.

In Apodaca, three tractor-trailers, two semi-trailers, 10 gas tankers, 11 vehicles, and property were seized.

– Sinaloa

Two storage facilities for different drug production inputs were located and dismantled. In these operations, 4,200 liters and 3,550 kilos of chemical substances for the production of illicit substances were seized. The economic impact on the criminal organizations is 167 million pesos (US$167 million).

In El Fuerte, four suspects were arrested and seven weapons, 30 magazines, 224 rounds of ammunition, duct tape, four ballistic vests, two helmets, 10 doses of cocaine, and a vehicle were seized.

– Sonora

In Trincheras, two rifles, eight magazines, 236 rounds of ammunition, and two ballistic vests were seized.

In Caborca, four suspects were arrested and seven firearms, 27 magazines, 873 rounds of ammunition, 790 doses of marijuana, 3.2 kilos of methamphetamine, five ballistic vests, a property and three vehicles were seized.

– Tamaulipas

In Ocampo, a suspect was arrested and a tractor-trailer with a 55,000 liter ISO tank containing hydrocarbons was seized.

In Gustavo Díaz Ordaz, nine magazines, 274 rounds of ammunition, 198.6 kilos of marijuana, a ballistic vest, two cell phones, two portable radios, and two vehicles, one of them reported stolen, were seized.
