Since the beginning of the operation on February 5, some 2,812 suspects have been arrested and 2,405 firearms, 390,041 rounds of various types of ammunition, 11,981 magazines, 30,213.65 kg of drugs, including 163.35 kg of fentanyl, 2,258 vehicles, and 351 properties have been seized, acoording to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict compliance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
Two suspects were arrested, one of them a minor and 43 rounds of ammunition, a magazine, 18 doses of marijuana, 14 doses of methamphetamine, 89 e-cigarettes, a portable radio, and a motorcycle were seized.
In Ensenada, 19 video cameras irregularly installed in public spaces were located and removed.
– Nuevo León
In Apodaca, two suspects were arrested and two firearms, two magazines, 12 rounds of ammunition, 152 doses of methamphetamine, four doses of marijuana, 35,700 pesos, three cell phones, a gram scale, and a vehicle were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Choix, 794 rounds of ammunition and 4.5 kilos of opium gum were seized.
Two storage facilities for methamphetamine inputs were located and dismantled, and 1,920 liters and 350 kilos of chemical substances for drug production were seized. The economic impact on the criminal organizations is 49 million pesos (US$2.50 million).
– Sonora
In Yavaros, 30 packages of marijuana and 44 packages of crystal meth were seized.
In Ciudad Obregón, 14 video cameras irregularly installed in public spaces were located and removed and eight slot machines were seized.
