Since the operation began on February 5, some 5,979 suspects have been arrested and 4,765 firearms, 762,081 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 22,193 magazines, 53,754.20 kg of drugs, including 310.89 kg of fentanyl, 4,249 vehicles, and 745 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
The actions were carried out in strict adherence to the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Mexicali, two kilograms of methamphetamine were seized.
– Chihuahua
In Moris, four suspects were arrested and three rifles, 19 magazines, 840 rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle were seized.
– Coahuila
In Acuña, a safe was found containing 18 firearms, 34 rounds of ammunition, four hunting knives, four metal daggers, and three telescopic scopes.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, a clandestine laboratory for the production of synthetic drugs was located and dismantled. In addition, three storage facilities containing various drug-related inputs were similarly located and dismantled. During these operations, four kilograms of fentanyl pills, 1.6 kilograms of methamphetamine, 3,700 liters and 1,665 kilograms of substances for the production of methamphetamine, three organic synthesis reactors, four lab condensers, and a centrifuge were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at 914.8 million pesos (US$48.67 million).
In Concordia, nine suspects were arrested, including four minors, and 11 rifles, 85 magazines, 2,100 rounds of ammunition, 1.4 kilograms of marijuana, eight tactical vests, 13 ballistic plates, six accessories, and three Kevlar helmets were seized.
– Sonora
In Caborca, two rifles, 12 magazines, 202 rounds of ammunition, 14 doses of methamphetamine, 13 doses of marijuana, eight doses of cocaine, and two vehicles were seized.
In Bácum, two suspects were arrested and 636 packages of methamphetamine, a handgun, two magazines, 32 live rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle were seized.
