Since the operation began on February 5, some 6,265 suspects have been arrested and 4,950 firearms, 832,251 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 23,444 magazines, 58,975.3 kg of drugs, including 311.89 kg of fentanyl, 4,372 vehicles, and 777 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Tijuana, 4.7 kilograms of marijuana were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, five storage facilities concentrating various inputs for drug production were located and dismantled. During the operations, 18,010 liters and 1,430 kilograms of substances used in methamphetamine production, 11 organic synthesis reactors, 14 lab condensers, and 26 LP gas cylinders were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 398 million pesos (US$21.41 million)
In Culiacán, three suspects were arrested, and 11 weapons, a Barrett rifle, 12 magazines, 500 rounds of ammunition, three grenades, two grenade launchers, 412 fentanyl pills, five vehicles, and a property were seized.
– Sonora
In San Luis Río Colorado, a suspect was arrested and a tractor-trailer transporting 838 kilograms and 740 liters of methamphetamine in soda cans was seized.
