Since the operation began on February 5, some 6,428 suspects have been arrested and 5,016 firearms, 858,676 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 23,778 magazines, 59,657.9 kg of drugs, including 311.89 kg of fentanyl, 4,453 vehicles, and 791 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Tijuana, a suspect was arrested and US$60,000 and a cargo truck were seized.
In Playas de Rosarito, a suspect was arrested and six packages of methamphetamine and a property were seized.
– Sinaloa
In different municipalities, 56 magazines, a link belt, 4,485 rounds of ammunition, 353 doses of methamphetamine, 44 doses of cocaine, 308 doses of marijuana, three kilos of marijuana, 41 tire spikes, and tactical clothing were seized.
In Culiacán and Cosalá, 5,145 liters and 150 kilos of substances used to produce methamphetamine, an organic synthesis reactor, and three lab condensers were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at 109 million pesos (US$5.81 million).
– Sonora
In Bacerac, a submachine gun, three rifles, 44 magazines, 1,772 rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle reported stolen were seized.
In Agua Prieta and Nogales, two suspects were arrested and 385 doses of cocaine, five doses of methamphetamine, 70 doses of marijuana, cash, and a vehicle were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Reynosa, a suspect was arrested and 55,000 liters of fuel and a tractor-trailer coupled to a tanker truck were seized.
In Cruillas, three magazines, 420 rounds of ammunition, and two vehicles were seized, one of which had homemade armor while the other was from an agency.
