Since the operation began on February 5, some 6,454 suspects have been arrested and 5,034 firearms, 866,721 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 23,992 magazines, 59,659.6 kg of drugs, including 311.89 kg of fentanyl, 4,460 vehicles, and 792 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Tijuana, a suspect was arrested and 550,000 pesos (US$26,546) without proof of legal origin were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Elota, three rifles, 21 magazines, and 540 live rounds of ammunition were seized.
In Culiacán and Cosalá, six storage facilities concentrating various inputs for the production of methamphetamine were located and dismantled. During the operations, 10,130 liters and 450 kilograms of substances for the production of drugs were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at 219 million pesos (11.63 million).
– Sonora
In various municipalities, two suspects were arrested, and 48 doses of methamphetamine, 80 doses of marijuana, cash, a firearm, a magazine, and three rounds of ammunition were seized.
