Since the operation began on February 5, some 6,737 suspects have been arrested and 5,218 firearms, 905,978 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 24,867 magazines, 63,421.7 kg of drugs, including 386.90 kg of fentanyl, 4,571 vehicles, and 821 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Mexicali, two suspects were arrested and three firearms, 10 magazines, 166 rounds of ammunition, three gas grenades, a telescopic scope, three vehicles, and a property were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Badiraguato, 42 kilograms of fentanyl, 21 kilograms of cocaine, and nine kilograms of fentanyl pills were seized.
In Culiacán, four storage facilities containing various materials for the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 1,510 liters and 175 kilos of substances for the production of methamphetamine were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at 34 million pesos (US$1.82 million).
– Sonora
In Benjamín Hill, a suspect was arrested and a handgun, three magazines, 51 rounds of ammunition, 200 kilos of methamphetamine, and a vehicle were seized.
In Pitiquito, two rifles, three magazines, 70 rounds of ammunition, and a backpack were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Nuevo Laredo, 530 kilograms of methamphetamine hidden in pallets and concrete cinder blocks inside a container were seized.
