Since the operation began on February 5, some 6,807 suspects have been arrested and 5,316 firearms, 928,488 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 25,281 magazines, 67,279.3 kg of drugs, including 386.90 kg of fentanyl, 4,622 vehicles, and 830 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Chihuahua
In Balleza, two rifles, 15 magazines, 310 rounds of ammunition, a ballistic plate, and a vehicle were seized.
In Guadalupe y Calvo, two rifles, four magazines, 135 rounds of ammunition, doses of marijuana, three ballistic plates, six improvised explosive devices, a tactical vest, and seven vehicles were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, 32 rifles, five handguns, 59 magazines, 100 rounds of ammunition, 150 kilos and 80 liters of chemicals, and a building were seized.
In Culiacán and Cosalá, six storage facilities containing various materials for the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations 2,635 liters and 350 kilos of substances for the production of methamphetamine were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 61 million pesos (US$3.27 million).
– Sonora
In operations carried out in various municipalities, five suspects were arrested and 204 packages and two kilograms of marijuana, 124 packages of methamphetamine, a motorcycle, and a vehicle were seized.
In Hermosillo, four suspects were arrested and a firearm, eight rounds of ammunition, a magazine, 30 kilograms of methamphetamine, and a vehicle were seized.
