Since the operation began on February 5, some 6,125 suspects have been arrested and 4,846 firearms, 817,233 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 22,613 magazines, 55,028.9 kg of drugs, including 311.89 kg of fentanyl, 4,318 vehicles, and 771 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions are carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Playas de Rosarito, 4.5 kilograms of methamphetamine and a property were seized.
Also in Playas de Rosarito, three suspects were arrested and doses of marijuana and a vehicle were seized.
– Chihuahua
In Nuevo Casas Grandes, three rifles, 203 rounds of ammunition, two ballistic plates, three Kevlar helmets, eight tire spikes, four vehicles, two of them with homemade armor, and a property were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, two storage facilities containing various inputs for drug production were located and dismantled. During the operations, 525 liters and 50 kilograms of substances for the production of methamphetamine, and a centrifuge were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 11 million pesos (US$590,000).
In Culiacán, three suspects were arrested and two rifles, 12 magazines, 350 rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle were seized.
– Sonora
In Guaymas, 583 kilos of methamphetamine and a vehicle were seized.
In San Luis Río Colorado, six suspects were arrested, including a minor, and three rifles, three magazines, 90 rounds of ammunition, two tactical vests, and a property were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Reynosa, five suspects were arrested and three rifles, seven magazines, 115 rounds of ammunition, and two vehicles were seized.
