Since the operation began on February 5, some 9,823 suspects have been arrested and 7,314 firearms, 1,247,030 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 33,466 magazines, 115,150.8 kg of drugs, including 560 kg of fentanyl, 5,870 vehicles, and 1,161 properties, have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Chihuahua
In Ciudad Juárez, two suspects were arrested, and three firearms, five magazines, 143 rounds of ammunition, five jars, and seven bags of cocaine, 13 bags of methamphetamine, and a jar of marijuana were seized.
In Madera, 1,900 rounds of ammunition and seven vehicles, four of which had been reported stolen, were seized.
– Coahuila
In Saltillo, a suspect was arrested, and 676 kilos of marijuana and a vehicle were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Corral Viejo, a chemical reactor with a 1,000-liter capacity was located and dismantled, and 1,200 liters and 625 kilos of chemical precursors were seized.
In Mocorito, Badiraguato, Culiacán, and Cosalá, 16 storage facilities containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs were dismantled. During the operations, 12,996 liters and 2,187 kilos of substances used in the production of methamphetamine, three organic synthesis reactors, four condensers, three dryers, and two centrifuges were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at 305 million pesos (US$16.86 million).
– Sonora
In Navojoa, two rifles, 10 magazines, 1,080 rounds of ammunition, a tactical vest, and a vehicle were seized.
In another operation in the same municipality, a suspect was arrested and five firearms, 29 magazines, 652 rounds of ammunition, five tactical vests, eight ballistic plates, and a vehicle were seized.
