Since the operation began on February 5, some 9,851 suspects have been arrested and 7,322 firearms, 1,251,985 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 33,545 magazines, 115,175.4 kg of drugs, including 560 kg of fentanyl, 5,881 vehicles, and 1,162 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Tijuana, two suspects were arrested, and two handguns, three magazines, 11 rounds of ammunition, and a property were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, three rifles, six magazines, 140 rounds of ammunition, a vehicle reported stolen, a motorcycle, and a property were seized.
In Mocorito, Badiraguato, Culiacán, and Cosalá, 17 storage facilities containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 18,220 liters and 275 kilos of substances used in the production of methamphetamine, four organic synthesis reactors, four centrifuges, and two LP gas tanks were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at 368 million pesos (US$20.35 million).
– Sonora
In Hermosillo, three suspects were arrested, and 51 doses of methamphetamine, 158 doses of marijuana, and cash were seized.
In another operation in the same municipality, a suspect was arrested, and 57 doses of marijuana and 20 doses of methamphetamine were seized.
