Since the operation began on February 5, some 9,808 suspects have been arrested and 7,293 firearms, 1,242,669 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 33,400 magazines, 114,475.1 kg of drugs, including 560 kg of fentanyl, 5,856 vehicles, and 1,160 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Chihuahua
In Madera, a mortar grenade, four tactical uniforms, and a vehicle with homemade armor were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán and Cosalá, five storage facilities containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 5,000 liters and 650 kilograms of substances used in the production of methamphetamine were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 113 million pesos (US$6.21 million).
In another operation in the same municipality, 36 doses of cocaine, 20 doses of marijuana, a cell phone, three cell phone chargers, a radio charger, seven knives, and eight sharp objects were seized.
– Sonora
In Agua Prieta, 24 vehicles, 20 of which had been reported stolen, and a property were seized.
In Cajeme, a rifle, four magazines, and 116 live rounds of ammunition were seized.
