Since the operation began on February 5, some 9,819 suspects have been arrested and 7,304 firearms, 1,243,255 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 33,422 magazines, 114,475.3 kg of drugs, including 560 kg of fentanyl, 5,860 vehicles, and 1,161 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Chihuahua
In Chihuahua, two suspects were arrested, and five firearms, 150 rounds of ammunition, 10 communication radios, and a property were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Mocorito, Culiacán, and Cosalá, 19 storage facilities containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 22,306 liters and 675 kilograms of substances used in the production of methamphetamine were seized along with two organic synthesis reactors. The economic impact on organized crime is 461 million pesos (US$25.32 million).
In another operation in the same municipality of Culiacán, a machine gun, three rifles, 15 magazines, 420 rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle were seized.
– Sonora
In Hermosillo, four suspects were arrested, and five bags of marijuana, doses of methamphetamine, and a vehicle were seized.
