Since the operation began on February 5, some 5,731 suspects have been arrested and 4,637 firearms, 751,903 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 21,751 magazines, 53,022 26 kg of drugs, including 310.89 kg of fentanyl, 4,138 vehicles, and 721 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
The actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Ensenada, two suspects were arrested and 284.05 kilograms of cocaine and a boat were seized.
In Mexicali, a suspect was arrested and two magazines, a handgun, seven rounds of ammunition, 800 doses of methamphetamine, 1,700 doses of heroin, 2,400 doses of marijuana, and a vehicle were seized.
– Nuevo León
In Agualeguas, six suspects were arrested and two handguns, two magazines, 12 rounds of ammunition, 71 doses of methamphetamine, 105 doses of marijuana, five cell phones, two gram scales, 810 pesos (US$43.15), six tire spikes, and two vehicles were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, six suspects were arrested and two persons who had been abducted were released. Three rifles, eight magazines, 130 rounds of ammunition, and a motorcycle and a vehicle, both of which had been reported as stolen, were seized.
In Cosalá, two storage facilities containing methamphetamine inputs were located and dismantled and 1,000 liters of substances for the production of the drug were seized. The economic impact on criminal organizations was 20 million pesos (US$1.07 million).
– Sonora
In different areas, eight suspects were arrested and 21 doses of marijuana, 137 doses of cocaine, 62 doses of methamphetamine, and two vehicles were seized.
In Cajeme, a suspect was arrested and 419 marijuana cigarettes, 121 doses of marijuana, four bars of marijuana-laced chocolate, four marijuana vaporizers, two marijuana extract cartridges for vaporizers, some marijuana croquettes, some marijuana gummies, four doses of cocaine, and 6,100 pesos ($324.96) were seized.
