Since the operation began on February 5, some 4,967 suspects have been arrested and 4,036 firearms, 649,566 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 19,534 magazines, 42,240.7 kg of drugs, including 257.8 kg of fentanyl, 3,665 vehicles, and 641 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Tijuana, six suspects were arrested and two weapons, 41 rounds of ammunition, six marijuana plants, seven kilograms of methamphetamine, one kilogram of fentanyl, one kilogram of cocaine, a magazine, three vehicles, and two properties were seized. In another operation in the same municipality, a suspect was arrested and 26 kilograms of methamphetamine and a vehicle were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, 10 kilograms of solid methamphetamine were seized on a property.
In another operation in Culiacán, a storage facility for various inputs used in the production of synthetic drugs was located and dismantled. At the site, 1,900 liters of chemicals and a lab condenser were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at 39 million pesos (US$2.09 million).
– Sonora
In Cajeme, a suspect was arrested and 1,924 doses of methamphetamine, 1,328 doses of marijuana, and cash were seized.
In Huatabampo, 80 doses of crystal meth were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Matamoros, three rifles, 40 magazines, 1,200 rounds of ammunition, four tactical vests, and a vehicle were seized.
In Nuevo Laredo, two guns, two magazines, 37 rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle were seized.
