Since the operation began on February 5, some 4,040 suspects have been arrested and 3,353 firearms, 554,854 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 16,164 magazines, 36,641. 06 kg of drugs, including 226.59 kg of fentanyl, 3,105 vehicles, and 507 properties have been seized, acoording to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
The actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
Four suspects were arrested and 48 doses of methamphetamine, 28 doses of marijuana, a cell phone, and two properties were seized.
In Tijuana, two suspects were arrested and 11 kilograms of marijuana and a property were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, four storage facilities for methamphetamine inputs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 1,470 liters of substances for the manufacture of the drug were seized. The economic impact on criminal organizations is 31 million pesos (US$1.58 million).
In Culiacán, five video cameras installed illegally in public spaces were located and removed.
– Sonora
In General Plutarco Elías Calles, three suspects were arrested and two firearms, seven magazines, 167 rounds of ammunition, 22 doses of marijuana, and a vehicle were seized.
In other operations, two suspects were arrested and 11 magazines, 236 rounds of ammunition, 56 doses of methamphetamine, 23 doses and a kilo of marijuana, a gram scale, a vehicle, and two properties were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Nuevo Laredo, five rifles, 77 magazines, 1,870 rounds of ammunition, four ballistic vests, eight ballistic plates, two Kevlar helmets, four tactical webbing sets, and tactical gear were seized.
