The Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico reports on the results obtained from “Operation Northern Border” on March 21, 22, and 23, 2025.

Since the beginning of the operation on February 5, some 1,748 suspects have been arrested and 1,562 firearms, 233,212 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 7,884 magazines, 23,346.26 kg of drugs, including 129.24 kg of fentanyl, 1,431 vehicles, and 195 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico..

These actions were carried out in strict compliance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following are the most significant:

Baja California

In San Felipe, three suspects were arrested, three rifles, three magazines, 90 rounds of ammunition, two tactical vests, four ballistic plates, and a vehicle were seized.

In another operation, two suspects were arrested and two firearms, five magazines, 114 rounds of ammunition, 20 doses of methamphetamine, and two vehicles were seized.

Chihuahua

In Cd. Juarez, a suspect was arrested and a submachine gun, three firearms, three magazines, 62 rounds of ammunition, 1,700 doses of marijuana, 924 doses of methamphetamine, and a vehicle were seized.

In Chihuahua, two suspects were arrested and 21.5 kilos of methamphetamine, 222 doses of marijuana, and a vehicle were seized.

Nuevo Leon

In Pesqueria, two suspects were arrested and a handgun, a magazine, seven rounds of ammunition, doses of methamphetamine, doses of marijuana, and a building were seized.

Sinaloa

Two firearms, 45 magazines, 1,002 rounds of ammunition, an improvised explosive device, a tactical vest, two ballistic plates, 15 stone barricades, eight encampments, and two vehicles were seized.

Eight storage facilities for methamphetamine inputs were located and dismantled. During the operations 3,900 liters and 175 kilos of substances for the production of methamphetamine, four organic synthesis reactors, and three lab condensers were seized.

The economic impact on the criminal organizations is 90 million pesos (US$4.47 million).

Sonora

A suspect was arrested and two firearms, five magazines, 155 rounds of ammunition, 211 doses of methamphetamine, 172 doses of marijuana, seven doses of cocaine, and a vehicle were seized.
In Pitiquito, two suspects were arrested and a rifle, a magazine, 30 rounds of ammunition, 1,730 doses of methamphetamine, and a property were seized.

Tamaulipas

In Nuevo Laredo, 34 magazines, 1,015 rounds of ammunition, and three vehicles were seized, two of them with factory armor and one reported stolen.

In San Fernando, a suspect was arrested and 214.606 kilos of methamphetamine and one vehicle were seized.
