Since the beginning of the operation on February 5, some 3,337 suspects have been arrested and 2,850 firearms, 488,628 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 14,019 magazines, 31,880.2 kg of drugs, including 189.17 kg of fentanyl, 2,602 vehicles, and 429 properties have been seized, acoording to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict compliance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
Ten suspects were arrested and three handguns, three magazines, 534 rounds of ammunition, 482 doses of marijuana, 265 grams of methamphetamine, a motorcycle, a vehicle, and two properties were seized.
– Chihuahua
In Ciudad Juarez, six rounds of ammunition, a rifle, a magazine, 11.4 kilos of fentanyl (104,587 pills), 82.5 kilos of marijuana, and a vehicle were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Concordia, three suspects were arrested and three rifles, 45 magazines, 350 rounds of ammunition, 249 grams of marijuana, clothing, and tactical gear were seized.
In Cosalá, four storage facilities for methamphetamine inputs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 1,570 liters of chemical substances for the production of drugs, an organic synthesis reactor, and two centrifuges were seized.
The economic impact on the criminal organizations is 33 million pesos (US$1.68 million).
– Sonora
In Genera Plutarco Elías Calles, four suspects were arrested and five weapons, 32 magazines, 1,047 rounds of ammunition, four tactical vests, and a vehicle were seized.
In other operations, three suspects were arrested, seven magazines, a handgun, 169 rounds of ammunition, a vest, two ballistic plates, 152 grams of methamphetamine, 142 grams of marijuana, cash, three vehicles, and a property were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Matamoros, three suspects were arrested and six rifles, a handgun, 14 magazines, 450 rounds of ammunition, two tactical vests, and three vehicles were seized, two of them reported stolen.
In Nuevo Laredo, two suspects were arrested and two U.S.-made firearms, two magazines, 28 rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle were seized.
