The Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico reports on the results obtained from 'Operation Northern Border' on May 2, 3, and 4, 2025.

Since the beginning of the operation on February 5, some 2,977 suspects have been arrested and 2,586 firearms, 411,480 rounds of different types of ammunition, 12,742 magazines, 30,499.1 kg of drugs, including 163.45 kg of fentanyl, 2,401 vehicles, and 381 properties have been seized, acoording to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.

These actions were carried out in strict compliance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:

– Baja California

Three suspects were arrested and three magazines, a handgun, 30 rounds of ammunition, fentanyl pills, 16 doses of methamphetamine, four vehicles, a motorcycle, and two properties were seized.

In Ensenada, 12 video cameras irregularly installed in public spaces were located and removed.

– Chihuahua

In Chihuahua, a tractor-trailer and 30,000 liters of gasoline were seized.

– Nuevo León

In Guadalupe, two suspects were arrested and two weapons, four magazines, 98 rounds of ammunition, 250 grams of marijuana, three doses of methamphetamine, and two cell phones were seized.

In other operations, five suspects were arrested and four magazines, 24 rounds of ammunition, a handgun, 201 doses of methamphetamine, two tactical vests, a signal jammer, cash, five cell phones, and two vehicles were seized.

– Sinaloa

In Culiacán, seven storage facilities for methamphetamine inputs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 25,950 liters and 95 kilos of chemical substances for producing drugs were seized. The economic impact on the criminal organizations is 564 million pesos (US$28.78 million).

In Navolato, six suspects were arrested and six rifles, a handgun, three grenades, 31 magazines, 496 rounds of ammunition, two bulletproof vests, and three vehicles were seized.

– Sonora

Three suspects were arrested and 18 magazines, 305 rounds of ammunition, 144 doses of methamphetamine, two properties, a vehicle, and a motorcycle were seized.

In Caborca, four link belts, a rifle, a magazine, 2,000 rounds of ammunition, 113 doses of methamphetamine, 73 doses of marijuana, four tactical vests, six ballistic plates, and a slug rifle were seized.

– Tamaulipas

In Miguel Aleman, three rifles, 12 magazines, and 214 rounds of ammunition were seized.

In Reynosa, two suspects were arrested and US$40,000, 3,760 pesos, and a vehicle were seized.
