Since the beginning of the operation on February 5, some 3,787 suspects have been arrested and 3,171 firearms, 531,700 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 15,352 magazines, 33,718.96 kg of drugs, including 209.80 kg of fentanyl, 2,856 vehicles, and 471 properties have been seized, acoording to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict compliance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Ensenada, six video cameras and two relays irregularly installed in public spaces were located and removed.
In other operations, seven suspects were arrested and four magazines, 62 rounds of ammunition, 83 doses of methamphetamine, 31 doses of marijuana, two cell phones, a tactical vest, and four vehicles were seized.
– Coahuila
In Frontera, a suspect was arrested and 89 rounds of ammunition, 3.50 million pesos (US$178,000), three cell phones, and two properties were seized.
– Sinaloa
Three suspects were arrested and 31 rounds of ammunition, 340 doses of methamphetamine, 61 doses of cocaine, 42 doses of marijuana, a magazine, a motorcycle, and three vehicles were seized.
In Culiacán, seven storage facilities for methamphetamine inputs were located and dismantled. During these operations, 4,500 liters of chemical substances for methamphetamine production were seized. The economic impact on the criminal organizations is 95 million pesos (US$4.85 million).
– Sonora
In Hermosillo, four suspects were arrested and five weapons, six magazines, 113 rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle were seized.
In another operation, a suspect was arrested, two observation points used by members of organized crime were disabled and nine improvised explosive devices, 52 doses of cocaine, 68 doses of methamphetamine, 46 doses and seven marijuana cigarettes, and a vehicle were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Matamoros, a suspect was arrested and 14 rounds of ammunition, a handgun, a magazine, and a vehicle were seized.
