Since the operation began on February 5, some 8,933 suspects have been arrested and 6,828 firearms, 1,176,385 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 31,350 magazines, 109,110.6 kg of drugs, including 493.92 kg of fentanyl, 5,538 vehicles, and 1,074 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Tijuana, two suspects were arrested, and two handguns, two magazines, five rounds of ammunition, four vehicles, and a property were seized.
– Chihuahua
In Chihuahua, three suspects were arrested, and two rifles, 15 magazines, 626 rounds of ammunition, a tactical vest, and a factory-armored vehicle were seized.
– Sonora
In Guaymas, a suspect was arrested, and 55 doses of crystal meth, 47 doses of marijuana, and three doses of cocaine were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, six storage facilities containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 8,850 liters of substances used in the production of methamphetamine were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 179 million pesos (US$9.78 million).
In Elota, four encampments with 3,196 marijuana plants were located and dismantled. During the operations, four rifles, 57 magazines, 2,944 rounds of ammunition, and four tactical vests were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Reynosa, two magazines, 65 rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle with homemade armor were seized.
