Since the operation began on February 5, some 8,977 suspects have been arrested and 6,848 firearms, 1,181,578 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 31,451 magazines, 109,437.7 kg of drugs, including 493.92 kg of fentanyl, 5,562 vehicles, and 1,078 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Mexicali, a suspect was arrested and two firearms, 15 magazines, 190 rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle were seized.
In San Quintín, two rifles, seven magazines, 700 rounds of ammunition, five tactical vests, and six vehicles were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, 10 storage facilities containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 21,230 liters of chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at 428 million pesos (US$23.33 million).
In Elota, three firearms, three magazines, and 542 live rounds of ammunition were seized.
– Sonora
In Etchojoa, a suspect was arrested, and 20 doses of crystal meth and 22 doses of marijuana were seized.
In Navojoa, a suspect was arrested, and 197 kilos of methamphetamine, a magazine, 17 rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle were seized.
