Since the operation began on February 5, some 9,387 suspects have been arrested and 7,043 firearms, 1,218,535 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 32,490 magazines, 110,899.4 kg of drugs, including 535.04 kg of fentanyl, 5,710 vehicles, and 1,119 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Chihuahua
In El Sauz, four suspects were arrested, and 27,000 liters of fuel and a tractor-trailer with tank body were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Badiraguato, Culiacán, and Cosalá, 15 storage facilities containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 17,195 liters of chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine, four organic synthesis reactors, and four condensers were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 349 million pesos (US$19.02 million).
In another operation in the same municipality, two suspects were arrested, and 200 fentanyl pills, US$50,000, and a vehicle were seized.
– Sonora
In Guaymas, a suspect was arrested, and 25 doses of marijuana and two doses of crystal meth were seized.
In Hermosillo, seven firearms, three magazines, 981 rounds of ammunition, 80 doses of cocaine, 17 doses of marijuana, a property, and two vehicles, one of which had been reported stolen, were seized.
