The Mexican Government's Security Cabinet reports on the results of 'Operation Northern Border' carried out on October 10, 11, and 12, 2025.

Since the operation began on February 5, some 8,053 suspects have been arrested and 6,297 firearms, 1,098,199 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 29,286 magazines, and 101,743.9 kg of drugs, including 483. 32 kg of fentanyl, 5,176 vehicles, and 980 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.

The actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:

– Baja California

In Mexicali, two suspects were arrested and 1.7 kg of methamphetamine and
a vehicle were seized.

– Chihuahua

In Ciudad Juárez, three suspects were arrested and a handgun, a magazine, 11 rounds of ammunition, four kilograms of cocaine, 71 fentanyl pills, 27 doses of cocaine, doses of marijuana, 109,350 pesos, US$121,038, and three properties were seized.

– Nuevo León

In El Carmen, five suspects were arrested, and a tractor-trailer, 20 containers, four storage tanks, six centrifugal pumps, 115,500 liters of diesel, 147,839 liters of fuel, 14,000 liters of sulfuric acid, five cell phones, and a property were seized.

– Sinaloa

In Badiraguato, two encampments used by organized crime were located and dismantled. During the operations, three rifles, nine magazines, 425 rounds of ammunition, a Kevlar helmet, five drones, three improvised explosive devices, and a communication radio were seized.

In Culiacán, during a search of two modules of Aguaruto prison, two rifles, four magazines, 90 rounds of ammunition, 420 marijuana cigarettes, 13 cell phones, and two modems were seized.

– Sonora

In Hermosillo, three suspects were arrested, and two handguns, two magazines, 17 rounds of ammunition, 815 fentanyl pills, doses of cocaine, three cell phones, and a vehicle were seized.

In San Luis Río Colorado, 31 firearms, 23 magazines, 23 rounds of ammunition, 174,306 fentanyl pills, doses of methamphetamine and heroin, nine vehicles, and a property were seized.

– Tamaulipas

In Jaumave, a suspect was arrested, and 70,000 liters of fuel and a tractor-trailer with two tanker trucks were seized.
